NSBRC | Foothills under 14s football team kit presentation

On Wednesday 29th May 2024, the Foothills team enjoyed a presentation evening, held at the NSBRC, before heading north to Blackpool for a big 11-a-side tournament, featuring teams from across the UK, held over the 1st - 2nd June. They were presented with brand new match-kits ahead of the new season, including training tops complete with the NSBRC logo – which we think look great!

We were particularly impressed with the positive messaging relayed to the boys by the team’s coach, Tony, around the importance of respect and representing the club in the right manner, on and off the pitch – as well as from Shaun, the founder of Wims, who reminded the team about the importance of good nutrition and hydration. As an employee-owned business it is nice to be able to support a local grassroots team who clearly have a such a positive impact on young people (and their families) in the community.

The new kit helped the team get off to a fantastic start to their pre-season plans, with the team making it all the way to the final of the tournament, eventually losing 1-0 to winners Rutherford AFC, from Gateshead – having gone unbeaten in seven previous matches!

Finishing second out of thirty teams is an incredible achievement and we are all extremely proud of them for doing so well. It was great to see the boys enjoying the sights of Blackpool too, with the amusement pier the big favourite.

We look forward to hearing about many wins over the coming season!
